The absolute best Japanese restaurant in Baton Rouge! Their hibachi experience is always entertaining and the food is amazing! Claire was a very attentive server, and super sweet, so if you want excellent service, be sure to ask for her by name!

Been coming for years. Still love it and excellent service. The chefs are amazing. I miss yum yum the chef but the guys there now are going hard. Would recommend to anyone who wants a fun experience.

The only redeaming qualities were that they said there would be a 15 minute wait and we sat in about 10. Once our order was placed, the food and chef came out promptly.The problems were plentiful. In the wait area, the seat's padding was deteriorated and you can feel the springs. The chef we had was very dull and completely unsanitary. The food he served was bland. The chicken was questionable as being done, so we didn't eat it. We didn't take our leftovers home.Three people and the bill was $80. It wasn't worth $20. We will not return.

As ALWAYS, it was GREAT! Customer service is always on point and the food is perfect. I enjoy myself each time! Food, drinks, and staff were great!

We went here with friends recently and the food was fantastic. Our server was very attentive and our chef was amazing. We had a better experience here at Tokyo Cafe than we did at Teppan Edo in Disney World. Now that's saying something! We'll definitely be coming back soon!

The food is always filled with flavor and the service is very good. The sushi is some of the best in Baton Rouge. Naruto rolls are available and they are excellent. Very good experience I would recommend.

Came one hour before they close and was basically refused service. The host offered us take out only as if they didn't want us in there.

With so many Japanese restaurants popping up in Baton Rouge over the last few years this place is not bad but definitely not the best . It has pretty good sushi and hibachi and the prices are fair. As with most places the Hibachi dinner is more food then you can eat in one sitting

Wonderful little restaurant. My family and myself feel that they have the best udon in all of Baton Rouge.

The Nabeyaki Udon was absolutely delicious.

The quality of the cooking is superb. I usually get the salmon with black beans and rice. Its covered with this sweet n spicy sauce that is so delicious. The chef is amazing here.

Great food at an even better price and the place dont smell funny how is this place not packed every day I got fried rice and sushi for under 10 bucks!

Food was great but meat portion was small

The rolls are delicious, and ingredients are pretty fresh. Personally, I like Sake with my sushi, and found the options limited... I don’t think any of the employees drink, as they didn’t know how to make a martini.We order out from here often.

I have been coming to this place for 8 years! I LOVE this place. By far my favorite restaurant ever. The brothers that own it are kind and friendly faces that remember me every time I come in. The restaurant is a nice, well kept, and usually pretty quiet place to dine. The rolls are amazing and they never skimp on ingredients like lots of sushi places do! Love love love! The hibachi is also cool too if you have a birthday or special event to celebrate! The kids and visitors always smile and “ooh and ahh” when the performer lights up the grills! I recommend 10/10!

I come here all the time during lunch hours (that’s when it’s cheapest) the service is always great and so is the food. I always eat on the hibachi side and throughly enjoy it. The chefs are also great. I love how they let you attempt to catch the food in your mouth! Good place with good people.

Ordered for everyone at work. Nothing in the order was correct! They read the order back to me when I called to complain and they wrote it down right but did not put anything in the bag that I ordered! The girl taking the order was very short with me and could not wait to hang up the phone! Never again will I order from them after all the health class violations that where reported there!

The first time I did not have an A1 experience, I don't know if I will ever return. Totally disappointed.

First time here a little hard to find way back in corner of strip shops. Its clean, good service and what I had was v good. See pics.

The sushi looked delicious as it often is but this time they decided to not even bother to look at the kale garnish to notice that it was yellow, brown and spotted with mold. Inedible due to mold spores. Seriously how did your garnish get that bad and noone notice?! Getting a refund and won't order from them again, gave two stars since I'm sure it's tasty but I'm not eating it and the manager said he'd handle the issue with the kitchen.

The pros: you get a lot of food and the fried rice is amazing.The cons: takeout was a mess- whoever loaded the bag did it upside down and when I arrived home it was a mess. The steak and chicken weren’t very good. And it’s expensive for what it is.

The food is good and the atmosphere is nice. The quality of the hibachi show depends on who your chef is and if they're busy at the time.
